Valheim mod brings seasons to every biome

The Seasons mod adds spring, summer, fall and winter, with weather events, shifting light and stats that change with the year.

Valheim's 1.0 update is less than a month old, and the modding scene is already producing substantial additions. Among them is Seasons, a mod by Shudnal that introduces spring, summer, fall and winter across the game's biomes, which otherwise stay static year-round. In the Meadows, spring keeps the usual lush green, summer yellows patches of grass, fall brings orange hues and darker evenings, and winter coats the treetops in snow. The result is the chance to build in a snow-covered Meadows rather than trekking out to the rocky Mountains or the hazardous Deep North just to get a wintry backdrop.

The mod goes well beyond visuals. It adds biome events balanced around each season's weather, seasonal lighting shifts that make summer nights the brightest and winter nights the darkest, and traders who rotate their stock as resources grow scarce. Seasons also affects player stats, granting extra fire resistance in winter and more stamina in summer. Season length and weather can be adjusted, and add-ons such as the BepInEx Configuration Manager expose further settings. For players who wanted Valheim to feel more alive across the year, it fills a gap the base game never addressed.
