RuneScape outlines three 2027 story arcs and remastering work

Mainline RuneScape's RuneFest roadmap spans three 2027 story arcs, remastered content and a new update structure, separate from the Reignited servers.

RuneScape's RuneFest keynote paired the Reignited character type with a 2027 roadmap built around three story arcs. One of them, Secrets of Karamja, is headlined by a new raid and the revival of Queen Rashiliyia, with Jagex promising further detail later. The mainline MMO also gets a fresh overall update structure and remastering work, alongside added activities, according to Massively Overpowered, as the studio tries to lay out a clearer long-term rhythm. The three arcs are meant to carry the story across the coming year, though Jagex has yet to name the other two.

The Reignited effort, which Jagex describes as RuneScape as it was always meant to be, gives characters their own economy, access to both veteran and reignited servers, and a Hall of Legends for tracking world firsts, arriving on December 2 with ten free days of subscription benefits. Rounding out the roadmap are a conclusion to the long-awaited Gnome storyline, another new raid and an Agility rework. Much of the year-ahead slate is still being fleshed out.
