Stanley Parable co-designer has 1,603 hours in Dota 2
William Pugh says Dota 2 tops his Steam record at 1,603 hours, a game he keeps coming back to but insists he never actually enjoyed.
William Pugh, who wrote and co-designed The Stanley Parable, says the game holding his highest Steam count is Dota 2, at 1,603 hours. He calls his relationship with it closer to an addiction than a hobby, comparing it to a drug, and is blunt that the time was not enjoyable.
Pugh, who went on to found Crows Crows Crows, keeps Team Fortress 2 permanently installed at 1,583 hours. He is playing Deadlock now, is working on a new game at his studio, and is producing the PS5 exclusive Hunter's Moon, which he describes as a historical folk horror game.
