NBA 2K25 Is Being Delisted as MyCareer Shuts Down
2K Sports is pulling the two-year-old basketball sim from stores in October, then closing the servers that keep its biggest modes alive.
NBA 2K25 is being pulled from storefronts on October 30, roughly two years after it launched. 2K Sports has confirmed the game will be delisted from all marketplaces, so it will no longer be purchasable on any platform once that date passes. Owners will still be able to redownload and play offline after support ends. The announcement arrives amid a wider round of October delistings tracked across PS5 and PS4, with 2K25 the highest-profile casualty of the month.
The shutdown cuts deeper than a typical sunset. When the servers go dark on January 1, 2027, every online mode disappears with them, and so do MyCareer and MyTeam, both of which lean on Virtual Currency that will no longer be earnable. Play Now, MyNBA, The W and MyWNBA are expected to survive. The move follows a familiar rhythm for the franchise, since NBA 2K24 was delisted and shut down around the same point in its own life cycle, leaving owners with little beyond MyNBA and Quick Play offline once the dust settles.
