RuneScape: Dragonwilds unveils multi-year roadmap

Jagex has outlined its Dragonwilds plans into 2027, led by the Blood Crystal Saga and the addition of a new Prayer skill.

Jagex has published a multi-year roadmap for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, setting out plans for the remainder of 2026 and on through 2027. The next free update, titled Luminance, is due this winter and acts as a prelude to the Blood Crystal Saga arriving the following year. According to the studio, the saga will also introduce the Prayer skill, alongside a continuing stream of quest, activity and quality-of-life updates and further skills that have yet to be detailed. A full breakdown of the year ahead has been posted on the official Dragonwilds website.

The Blood Crystal Saga is split into two parts. Song of Rebellion opens it, tasking players with protecting two elves on the run from a merciless bounty hunter and introducing the elven city of Ailddinas, described as towering crystalline spires intertwined with a vast and mystical forest that has been corrupted. Crown of the Night follows later in 2027, returning the action to the shores and hills of Ashenfall as the Nos Clan's influence expands and must be ended.
