Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is free on Switch this week
Nintendo's Game Trial makes the full metroidvania playable until September 30, with steep discounts running alongside it.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the current Nintendo Game Trial, which means Switch Online members can play the whole thing at no extra cost from September 24 through September 30. It is the complete game, not a demo, including the late-game sections that reviewers rated most highly.
The trial overlaps with a 70 percent discount on the eShop, and the Steam version is similarly reduced until October 1, so anyone who finishes it during the week can keep it cheaply. Ubisoft's metroidvania was well received on release but sold below expectations, which is why it keeps resurfacing in promotions like this one.
