Palworld tops Steam's 2026 review rankings
The survival game's 1.0 launch made it the best-rated release of the year on Steam, ahead of Valheim.
Palworld's 1.0 update has pushed it to the top of Steam's ratings for the year, according to the tracking site Steam250, with Valheim in second. The game also remains among the most played titles on the platform, ahead of several far bigger-budget competitors.
Pocketpair's head of publishing called the position close to miraculous for a studio of its size. Palworld spent a long stretch in early access before the full release, and the ranking now measures only what shipped in 2026 rather than the early access years, which makes the result more striking.
