Nacon Unveils First PS5 Pad With Screen and Dock
The officially licensed Revolution 5 Unlimited adds a built-in display, a menu system and a charging dock, priced at $229.99 in the US and £179.99 in the UK.
Nacon is launching the Revolution 5 Unlimited, which it says is the first officially licensed PS5 controller to carry an interactive screen. The pad's built-in display drives its own menu system, letting players change connections, button mapping, profiles, lighting and thumbstick sensitivity without leaving the game. It is the second licensed PS5 pro-style controller from Nacon, following the Revolution 5 Pro, and it borrows heavily from the Xbox-focused Revolution X Unlimited released earlier. The controller adds six extra buttons, four on the back and two extra bumpers, along with TMR thumbsticks that improve on the Hall effect sticks used in the Xbox model.
A charging dock is included, another first for a third-party PS5 pad under Sony's licensing terms. The bundle also ships with a carrying case, swappable stick tops, grip weights, a wireless dongle, a cable and a cleaning cloth, and the pad is customised through a dedicated mobile app rather than a PC one. Like every licensed PS5 controller, the Revolution 5 Unlimited goes without DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers, so Nacon leans on built-in vibration in its PC mode instead. It is priced at $229.99 in the US and £179.99 in the UK, a wide gap between the two markets.
