KytyPS5 emulator runs Demon's Souls at close to 50 FPS

A PS5 exclusive is now playable on PC through the KytyPS5 emulator at roughly 50 frames per second, though the test rig used an Nvidia RTX 5090.

With Sony set on ending physical media from 2028, people who want PlayStation games preserved have turned to the only platform where that looks achievable: the PC. The PS5 emulator KytyPS5 has reached a point where Demon's Souls Remake, a PS5 exclusive, runs at roughly 50 frames per second, with no major graphical glitches or crashes in its opening sections.

The capture came from a machine running an Nvidia RTX 5090, a card almost nobody owns, so wide playability is still some distance off; early emulator builds have always leaned on the strongest hardware available. Animations also look slightly sped up, a compromise for timing issues developers still have to solve. AstroBot is making similar strides.
