Minecraft Live: sound packs, Switch 2, no End update
Beyond the Sift, Mojang announced Marketplace sound effects packs and Minecraft on Nintendo Switch 2, and left the End alone despite what fans read into the trailer.
Minecraft Live was mostly about the Sift, but the show carried smaller announcements. Sound Effects Packs are coming to Minecraft Marketplace later this year, and Mojang confirmed the game for Nintendo Switch 2.
One absence drew attention. Fans had read the enderman teases in the showcase trailer as the first sign of an End update, and none was announced. Ice caves are the next game drop instead, with the Sift following in Java and Bedrock in 2027.
