CD Projekt Red Working on Witcher 3 Remaster Fixes
A second PC hotfix targets divisive lighting changes and other issues, while Switch 2 owners still wait for their own update.
CD Projekt Red says it is working on fixes for The Witcher 3 Remastered, which returned earlier this week. While the release is playable, various issues have been identified across all platforms, and the studio has already addressed some launch bugs on several systems. A second hotfix has now been released for the PC version, directly tackling the lighting concerns that divided players following the update, along with a couple of other notable problems reported after launch.
The lighting changes proved the most contentious part of the remaster, drawing complaints from players who disliked how the new look shifted the game's original atmosphere. CD Projekt Red has responded with the PC patch and continues to work through the remaining reports. Switch 2 owners, meanwhile, may have to wait a little longer, since a separate update for the Nintendo version is expected at some point in the future with no date attached. For now the studio has not given a timeframe for the remaining fixes, leaving those players waiting on details about when their version will be updated.
