Jagex admits the Dragonwilds Switch 2 build is not good enough
After players reported blurry visuals in the new survival game, the studio promised incremental fixes and accurate store screenshots.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds launched on Switch 2 last week, and the port is not holding up: players reported soft, blurry image quality almost immediately. Jagex has now responded in a community message, conceding that the console build is not where the studio wants it and that visual improvements will arrive in increments rather than one big patch.
The developer also said it will replace the eShop listing screenshots with images that reflect what the Switch 2 version actually looks like. Jagex is best known for the browser-era RuneScape, so Dragonwilds is its first open-world survival game, and its first real test on current Nintendo hardware.
