Hytale Chapter 1 lands October 12 with its first boss
The early access survival game is getting a hand-built dungeon, a flame-throwing goblin king, and a raft of item changes.
Hytale came out of a long development in early access and has been patched in small pieces since. Chapter 1, which the studio also calls Update 7, lands on October 12, and it is the first drop with a real dungeon: a handcrafted underground lair built around goblins rather than the generated spaces players have seen so far.
It also introduces the game's first proper boss fight, a flamethrowing goblin king, and rebalances items and enemies around it. The update is being framed as the second wave of Chapter 1 content rather than a fresh chapter, which suggests the team wants to finish this arc before starting the next.
