Fortnite confirms Five Nights at Freddy's crossover
Skins from the horror series land in October during Fortnitemares, alongside Purge and Beetlejuice content, after the reveal became Fortnite's biggest post.
After weeks of teasing and speculation, Epic confirmed on September 27 that Five Nights at Freddy's is coming to Fortnite. Character skins from the horror series will arrive in October as part of Fortnitemares, the battle royale's annual Halloween event, and the announcement has drawn a loud, largely delighted response from players.
The FNAF reveal is not the only crossover in the seasonal lineup. Content inspired by the Purge films, Beetlejuice-themed items and an '80s slasher icon all arrive on October 1. By one measure the reaction broke a record: Fortnite's post about the horror crossover became the game's biggest tweet ever.
