Fallout 76 Roadmap Adds Pets, Hideouts And Raven Rock
Bethesda directors laid out a long-term plan for Appalachia in a new letter to players.
Bethesda published a letter from the Fallout 76 directors this week setting out what is coming to Appalachia over the next several months. Creative director Jon Rush and production director Bill LaCoste wrote that the team has a lot of content in the pipeline and intends to keep the game running for years. The first step is World Pets, arriving in December, which turns C.A.M.P. pets into full companions that level up alongside the player.
World Pets keeps the existing stay, follow and protect commands and adds new ones, including a kill order, and ties into bounty hunting in Skyline Valley, where the rise in bounties explains why the Blue Ridge Caravan Company shut up shop. Next spring brings Hideouts, which Bethesda describes as tougher bounty contracts hiding the worst of the wasteland, plus a Marked difficulty setting and a rival hunter known as The Drifter. A later expansion, Raven Rock, pushes the map towards the Capital Wasteland and acts as a prequel to Fallout 3. The letter did not attach a release date to Raven Rock, which the team described as a massive map expansion.
