Denuvo Cracking Group DenuvOwO Disbands
One of the better-known outfits attacking Denuvo's anti-piracy software has reportedly stood down after a rival lawsuit.
One of the better-known groups attacking Denuvo's anti-piracy protection has reportedly stood down. DenuvOwO, which was linked to a hypervisor-based bypass, is said to have disbanded after Denuvo GmbH filed a lawsuit aimed at Voices38, a different cracking outfit.
The case appears to have had a wider chilling effect: CS.Rin has pulled links to games cracked with the method and banned some associated members, and the filing names Discord, Reddit and Steam accounts tied to Voices38. Rune and Voices38 remain active, and since the bypass leaned on open-source code, others could still build on it.
