Aion 2 Head Start Climbs Steam Charts, Opens Servers
Days into its founder's-pack head start, Aion 2 has climbed Steam's top-sellers and most-played charts and is opening more servers to meet demand.
Aion 2's head start has been running for only a couple of days, and the MMORPG has already made a mark on Steam. The early-access period opened for players who bought a founder's pack, and the game has since climbed the platform's top-sellers and most-played charts. At the time the report was written, Aion 2 sat at number four on Steam's list of top sellers, an early sign of demand for the release. Concurrency has risen alongside sales, pushing the game up the most-played rankings as well.
The strong opening has led the team to open additional servers so the game can handle the growing number of players logging in. The head start gives founder's pack buyers an early run at the game, letting them begin levelling before the full release opens to everyone. Between the sales ranking and the concurrency figures, the first days of Aion 2 have drawn more attention than many online games manage at this stage of an early-access period, and the extra servers are intended to keep the growing player base moving once more people arrive.
