[AFANTASIA] to be published by Studio Sasanqua

A surreal narrative adventure finds a publisher in Kenji Ozawa's new studio, while a second veteran team forms the same day.

[AFANTASIA], a surreal narrative adventure game, is set to be published by Studio Sasanqua. The label was established by Kenji Ozawa, the director behind Visions of Mana, after the team he had worked with was closed. The announcement puts the new studio behind an adventure built around dreamlike, story-first design, and it is one of the first projects attached to Ozawa's outfit since it was founded. No release window or platforms for [AFANTASIA] were given in the announcement.

The same day brought a second studio debut. Jason Jones, a co-founder of Bungie, and Margaret Stohl, a narrative director on Destiny 2, have launched a transmedia studio called Stone Kite. Between them the pair worked on a landmark first-person shooter franchise and one of the largest live-service games, giving the new outfit a track record in long-running, story-heavy projects. Stone Kite is described as a transmedia operation, a term that usually points to telling stories across games and other media rather than a single title. No first project, release window or platforms were named for Stone Kite either.
