Wolverine is the only solo game in the US top ten

Circana's engagement tracker placed Insomniac's PS5 exclusive seventh in launch week, even as its Japanese boxed launch trails Spider-Man.

In the US, Marvel's Wolverine was the only single-player title to reach the top ten of Circana's engagement tracker, which ranks games by weekly active users. Insomniac's PS5 exclusive took seventh place in the week ending September 19, sitting among live service titles such as Fortnite and Call of Duty. Analyst Mat Piscatella put average time played for the week at 14.2 hours.

Japan tells a different story. Wolverine sold 20,039 boxed copies in its first week there, a steep drop from the openings of Insomniac's Spider-Man games. Sales estimates elsewhere put the game at roughly three million units so far; Sony has not commented on its performance and is not expected to before its November earnings report.
