The Witcher 3 Remastered patch notes: 70+ changes detailed

CD Projekt Red's list covers a rebuilt skill tree, new quest markers, an accessibility mode and a deeper photo mode.

CD Projekt Red's patch notes cover only the remaster's most important changes, since a full accounting would run far too long. The centrepiece is a rebuilt skill tree: every skill now has three ranks, and unlocking one requires its prerequisite skills instead of a fixed spend of points. Imported saves will have their skill points reset, and some skills have been renamed.

Elsewhere, unfinished questlines carry their own marker on the world map, meditation plays out as a short time-lapse rather than a menu, and photo mode gains far wider camera options, including the ability to place any character in the frame. A new Bard's Ballad mode simplifies mechanics and disables selected features for players who tire easily. Reforging also lets equipment change its look without touching its stats, courtesy of master craftsmen Yoana and Hattori.
