Space Marine 2 Marks Two Years With Anniversary Update
The Warhammer 40,000 shooter celebrates its second year since launch with a fresh update rolling out for PC and consoles.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has marked its second full year since launch with a new anniversary update. The patch is rolling out for PC and consoles, giving returning players fresh reasons to dive back into the co-operative action. Two years on from release, the shooter has maintained a steady cadence of content, and the anniversary drop continues that pattern by refreshing the experience for a community that has stayed with it since the beginning. Anniversary milestones have become a common hook for live-service titles to reward long-term players and tempt lapsed ones back.
The update lands at a point when much of the player base has had time to work through the earlier material, making a milestone patch a natural moment to draw people back in. Continued developer support of this kind has helped the title sustain its audience well past launch. Bleeding Cool reported the anniversary release, and players on PC and current consoles can look to their platform stores for the download and the contents it brings, with the update free to existing owners.
