Monster Hunter Outlanders lands October 29 on mobile

Capcom and TiMi set a worldwide release date for the first proper third-person Monster Hunter built for phones, with pre-registration already open.

Capcom and TiMi Studio Group have finally set a release date for Monster Hunter Outlanders, the series first proper third-person action entry built for phones. The free-to-play open-world survival game arrives worldwide on October 29 for Android and iOS. Pre-registration is already open through the official site, though the studios have not attached any rewards to signing up early. Unlike Monster Hunter Now, which leans on augmented-reality creature collecting, Outlanders aims to carry the familiar hunt loop of tracking monsters across different biomes and then fighting them onto the small screen.

Two announcement videos accompanied the date. TiMi producer Dong Huang and Capcom Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto both discussed the launch plans. Outlanders will ship with the Charge Blade among its weapon types, and with the Elder Dragon Ruger Aidal available as a launch hunt. Both producers said the game will receive ongoing updates adding new monsters, biomes and weapons, though neither previewed specific post-launch content. The announcement lands while Monster Hunter Wilds continues its own rollout, with a Switch 2 version due in December 2026 and the Ascendance expansion expected in 2027.
