Horizon+ Adds Free In-Game Add-Ons for Quest Games
Meta's Quest subscription now bundles free add-ons alongside its monthly titles, with Orion Drift cosmetics and currency first up.
Meta's Horizon+ subscription has expanded what members receive each month, adding free in-game add-ons on top of its existing mix of monthly games, catalog titles and store discounts. The first such perk unlocks cosmetic items and in-game currency for Orion Drift, the massively multiplayer title from the studio behind Gorilla Tag. The change gives subscribers a third pillar of value alongside the monthly game drops and recurring store discounts.
October's monthly games are Swarm 2, a grappling-heavy roguelike shooter, and Waltz of the Wizard, a reactive VR sandbox in which players cast spells and speak with characters that answer in thousands of ways. Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked and Deadly Delivery also join the catalog, while subscribers get half off The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets and Red Matter 2, plus two discounted Synth Riders songs. The service also maintains combined games and indie catalogs of more than 100 Quest titles that any subscriber can access. Horizon+ costs $7.99 monthly or $59.99 a year, with a one-month free trial for new users, and the company notes it can add or remove catalog titles at any time.
