Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Part 1 Lands October 15

The first half of Polyphony's free Spec IV update adds the Sportsland SUGO circuit, six cars and more, with the rest due in December.

Gran Turismo 7's Spec IV update will arrive in two halves, with part one landing on October 15 as version 1.72. The free patch adds the Sportsland SUGO circuit, six cars and further content, giving the PS5 and PS4 racer its most substantial refresh in some time. Polyphony Digital has already confirmed the second half of Spec IV is planned for December, so players will only receive part of the overhaul this month. Update 1.72 continues the studio's habit of folding new cars and tracks into the base game at no extra charge.

The car lineup spans eras and disciplines: a 1986 Citroen 2 CV 6 Charleston, a 1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, a 1987 Honda Civic Si in Group A form, a 2023 Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line, the 2026 Mazda RX-VISION GT3 EVO and the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo. A new trailer offers a first look at both the track and the vehicles. Spec IV marks the next chapter for a game that keeps drawing free content years after launch, with the December drop set to complete the package.
