Ex-NFL Coach Mike Tomlin Built A Minecraft City
The former Pittsburgh Steelers coach spent 12 years on the project before showing it off.
Mike Tomlin, the former head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, has spent roughly 12 years building a city in Minecraft, and he showed the result off in the first video on a new YouTube channel. Tomlin coached the Steelers for 19 seasons without a losing record, reaching 13 playoff appearances, winning eight division titles and Super Bowl XLIII before stepping down in 2025. His Minecraft project started around 2014, when his children were in middle school.
In the video Tomlin explains that he was introduced to the game by his kids and was mesmerised by how long it could hold their attention, and that he has always had an interest in architecture. He admitted he lacked the stick control for Survival mode and settled into Creative, where the building systems clicked, and he plays with a PlayStation controller in hand. The world he revealed is a sprawling city assembled by hand over more than a decade. The channel is run together with his son Dino, who sits in on the video.
