Bloody Baron writer returns to CD Projekt Red after 10 years
Karolina Stachyra, a senior writer on The Witcher 3, has rejoined the studio as an expert writer.
Karolina Stachyra, a senior writer on The Witcher 3 between 2012 and 2016, has returned to CD Projekt Red roughly a decade after leaving. Her LinkedIn profile credits her with helping shape the main storyline and with designing some of the RPG's best-known quests, among them the Bloody Baron, as well as expansion content such as the Dead Man's Party quest.
Stachyra rejoined in February as a freelance consultant before stepping into the expert writer role in August. She has not said which project she is working on, though the timing lines up with The Witcher 4's development. Her return extends a hiring push that GamesRadar+ puts at more than 220 new developers, among them Warhorse Studios veterans, an ex-Baldur's Gate 3 developer and a former Mass Effect lead.
