Arc Raiders will test a PvE queue in mid-October
Embark is adding an opt-in matchmaking mode after players kept asking for a version of the extraction shooter without other raiders.
Arc Raiders has built a reputation for players who would rather cooperate than fight, and Embark Studios is now responding to that with a matchmaking test. From October 13 to October 20, players can opt into a PvE queue that pairs them with others who have chosen the same, removing the threat of rival raiders for the duration.
The test is limited, and the studio has not said whether the option becomes permanent. Extraction shooters usually live or die on the tension of meeting other players, so a PvE mode is a real design question rather than a simple toggle, and this run looks like a way to measure how much of the audience wants it.
