Ace Combat 8 tops Steam's US chart before launch
Wings of Theve climbed 55 places to first on Steam's US Top Sellers list on pre-orders and Deluxe Edition early access, with the full launch set for 2 October.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve has taken the top spot on Steam's US best-seller list, and it did so before most of its buyers are able to play it. The game climbed 55 places to reach first, a ranking built on pre-orders and early access revenue rather than a wide launch.
Deluxe Edition owners went in from 28 September, the day the position was noted, and buyers of the standard edition can pre-load from 29 September ahead of the full launch on 2 October. That the chart lead rests on early access and pre-order spending alone is the notable part of the number.
