   The Last Stand Update released

   A community-made content update added The Last Stand campaign, new Survival and Scavenge maps, 30 achievements and more than a thousand bug fixes; it was PC only.

2. 16 Nov 2009

   Left 4 Dead 2 released

   Valve's co-op zombie shooter launched on Steam, taking four new survivors through the Deep South with new melee weapons and the improved AI Director 2.0.
