WoW Patch 12.1.5 Notes Arrive With Class Deep Dives

Blizzard posted patch 12.1.5 notes ahead of its October 14 launch and detailed Priest and Warrior changes, while restoring an old Make-A-Wish quest.

Blizzard has published the update notes for World of Warcraft's upcoming patch 12.1.5, which is set to go live on October 14. The notes arrive alongside the studio's continuing deep dives into how classes are being designed for WoW: Forever, with the newest entries focused on the Priest and the Warrior. According to those write-ups, all Priests now receive Fear Ward and Devouring Plague at a certain level, part of an effort to set the new versions of the classes apart from their Classic counterparts.

The patch notes also coincide with an emotional addition. WoW: Forever has restored Kyle's Gone Missing, a quest first added in 2007 during the Burning Crusade era as a Make-A-Wish request from a young player, Ezra Chatterton, who was battling brain cancer and who helped design the quest and voiced the NPC Ahab Wheathoof. Principal game designer Johnny Cash said it was an honour to bring the quest back and that a tear was shed. Players can find the character in Bloodhoof Village in Mulgore and must reach level 5 to start it.
