Trophy Games buys Playrion from Paradox Interactive
The Danish studio has taken over the Airport Simulator: First Class developer, the second small acquisition this month.
Trophy Games, a Danish developer and publisher working mostly in management games, has acquired Playrion from Paradox Interactive. Playrion made Airport Simulator: First Class and its second game, and it has been part of Paradox's mobile line since 2020.
The sale is a small piece of housekeeping for Paradox, which has spent the past two years narrowing its portfolio towards its strategy franchises after several cancellations. Trophy Games gains a studio with a live mobile title already in the market, which is cheaper than building one from scratch.
