Subnautica 2 creatures invade Dave the Diver crossover
Announced at the Triple-I Initiative showcase, the early-2027 pack puts the diver in Subnautica 2's waters and lets players finally fight back.
Subnautica 2's most persistent nuisance finally has a way to be fought, even if the arena belongs to somebody else's ocean. At the Triple-I Initiative showcase, Mintrocket announced a Dave the Diver crossover that drops the diver into the alien waters of Unknown Worlds' survival game, where he can mine resources, spear fish and generally plunder the depths.
The pack arrives in early 2027 and, crucially, lets players take on the Nibbler Mangos that have bitten Subnautica 2 divers since launch without any real answer, a gap some had filled with mods. The crossover gives that audience a roundabout outlet for a frustration the base game has never addressed directly. Mintrocket said it was thrilled to bring Subnautica 2's creatures into Dave's world, adding that the content should feel like the Dave the Diver players already know and love. The studio also noted this will be the final major DLC for the game, though smaller updates and collaborations could still follow, and a Bancho the Chef prequel is in the works.
