The 2,000 V-Buck bundle costs more than Hollow Knight on Steam and more than Silksong, for three cosmetics tied to Fortnitemares.
Fortnite's Hollow Knight collaboration carries a price that undercuts the game it celebrates. The full bundle costs 2,000 V-Bucks, roughly $22.49 or £17.19, which is more than Hollow Knight's $14.99 asking price on Steam and more than its sequel Silksong at $19.99.
For that outlay players get three items: Hollow Knight as a sidekick, a Hallownest Grub backbling and the Nail as a pickaxe, wrapped into the Fortnitemares Halloween theme alongside the likes of Slender Man and Freddy Krueger. The comparison stings further because the nine-year-old Hollow Knight is regularly discounted, while the crossover set is available only until 15 October with no word on a return. Epic has not explained the pricing, and the bundle's fixed departure gives interested players a narrow window in which to weigh a trio of cosmetics against the games that inspired them. It is a striking example of how live-service items can outprice the standalone titles they draw from, and the gap widens again once a sale price enters the picture. For a handful of digital extras, the maths rarely lands in the buyer's favour.
