Deep Rock Galactic Survivor hits PS5 and Switch October 7
The survivor-like auto-shooter spin-off comes to PlayStation 5 plus both the original Switch and Switch 2 next month.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is heading to consoles. Ghost Ship Publishing and developer Funday Games will release the single-player survivor-like auto-shooter on PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and the original Switch on October 7. The spin-off offers a very different rhythm from the cooperative mining shooter it is built on, swapping team-based excavation for a solo run in which players hold out against escalating waves while slowly upgrading a lone dwarf. It sits alongside a growing group of auto-shooters that have found sizeable audiences, but carries its own identity through the setting it borrows.
That setting is a large part of the pull. Familiar classes, weapons and the series' brand of dwarven humour carry over, giving the spin-off a recognisable shell even as the genre changes underneath. Bringing it to Nintendo hardware covers both the older and the newer Switch models, while the PlayStation 5 release widens its reach well beyond PC. Ghost Ship Publishing has kept the Deep Rock Galactic name active across several projects, and a multi-platform launch gives this particular experiment a considerably larger audience than it had before.

Deep Rock Galactic
Deep Rock Galactic sends up to four dwarf miners into procedurally generated caves to extract minerals and survive alien swarms. Each class carries distinct tools, and the terrain itself can be dug through or reshaped.
