Your Debt Is Paid is a horror game about owing money
Publisher Black Lantern Collective has revealed Chris Miluski's roguelike auto-battler, which turns a mounting blood debt into run-based dungeon crawls.
Black Lantern Collective has announced that it will publish Your Debt Is Paid, a horror fantasy game from developer Chris Miluski. The premise turns one of life's more mundane fears into material for a dungeon crawler. Players take the role of a warrior who descends into monster-filled dungeons to survive a cruel bargain for their life, repaying an ever-increasing blood debt to an enigmatic captor. It is a roguelike auto-battler, blending dark fantasy storytelling with the kind of run-based structure that rewards repeated attempts.
That structure lets players experiment with different builds on each attempt, choosing from a range of races, classes, relics and enhancements, each carrying its own benefits and trade-offs. The debt theme is not merely cosmetic; it frames why the hero keeps returning to danger, tying the mechanical loop to the fiction. Bleeding Cool reported the reveal, noting that the game leans on the universal feeling of owing something that seems to only grow. No release date or platforms have been confirmed so far, so the reveal stands as an early look at what the publisher plans to bring to market.
