Ultimechs Is Being Delisted Later This Month
Resolution Games will pull the mech arena game from storefronts and end online play on October 20, 2026.
Resolution Games will retire online multiplayer for Ultimechs and pull the futuristic arena sports title from VR storefronts on October 20, 2026. The mech-based, Rocket League-flavoured game launched free-to-play in 2022 and will keep working as a single-player experience after the servers switch off, so owners can still jump into the arena, just not against anyone else. It was one of the studio's more experimental projects, pitting pilots in mech suits against each other inside a floating arena.
In-app purchases have already been disabled, though any UltiCoins players already hold remain spendable, and the companion spectator app loses its purpose once matches stop. The closure adds to a crowded 2026 list of multiplayer VR titles going dark, from Rec Room to Hyper Dash. Live servers cost money, and that cost climbs with player numbers, so quiet lobbies tend to be first against the wall when studios tighten their budgets. Resolution Games frames the move as focusing resources elsewhere, a familiar refrain across the VR sector this year. The storefront removal will not stop existing owners from launching the game later.

Rocket League
Rocket League is a competitive game in which cars push a large ball into a goal on enclosed arenas. Matches are short, and the physics allow aerial play that takes a long time to control.
