G2 Esports sweep TYLOO to open VALORANT Champions
The North American side beat TYLOO 2-0 on Lotus and Icebox, sending the host-region team to the lower bracket.
G2 Esports started Group C at VALORANT Champions 2026 in Shanghai with a 2-0 win over TYLOO, moving into the winners' side of the group and dropping the Chinese hosts to the lower bracket. The opening map on Lotus was closer than the final score suggested, with TYLOO building an early lead in front of a home crowd before G2 took the map on their defensive half.
Champions is Riot's season-ending tournament and the biggest event on the VALORANT calendar, played in front of a live audience in China for the first time. Group stage results here decide seeding for the bracket that follows.
