Four Americas teams one win from VALORANT playoffs
G2, NRG, LOUD and 100 Thieves each swept their Champions Shanghai openers, while every Chinese side opened the event 0-2.
All four Americas sides at VALORANT Champions Shanghai opened with 2-0 group wins. G2 Esports beat TYLOO, NRG took down Masters Santiago champions Nongshim RedForce, LOUD swept EDward Gaming and 100 Thieves closed the run by beating T1. Trent topped the G2 scoreboard, while Mada returned from a wrist injury to lead NRG.
The wins put all four into winners' matches, where a single victory books a direct playoffs place. The host region had a far rougher start: TYLOO, EDward Gaming, XLG Esports and JD Gaming lost their openers without taking a map between them, an 0-8 aggregate that leaves all four facing early elimination.
